Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a CDL A or B Driver to coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites. You may use a truck-mounted forklift and must follow DOT regulations with a strong safety focus. Accurate manifests and paperwork are required, with potential warehouse support duties.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of CDL driving experience and a valid state license; forklift certification is preferred, and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Role Summary

A CDL Driver at White Cap ... Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites. May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites. Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety. Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment. Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license. Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency

Pay

For Illinois job seekers: Pay Range $21.30-$29.90 Hourly. Illinois law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
