Job summary

Firstline Environmental Solutions is actively seeking HAZWOPER-certified and Specialist Trained Responders to join our Fresno, CA response crew. This on-call emergency position supports a range of environmental incidents including spills, cleanups, and remediation projects.

The role involves responding to hazmat incidents, performing spill containment and site remediation, and operating specialized equipment safely while complying with PPE and decontamination protocols.

Qualifications

• Must have 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Current Specialist level training or valid refresher.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Ability to respond to emergency call-outs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• California Traffic Incident Management (TIM) course.

About the Role

Firstline Environmental Solutions is actively seeking HAZWOPER-certified and Specialist Trained Responders to join our Fresno, CA response crew. This is an on-call emergency response position supporting a variety of environmental incidents including spills, cleanups, and remediation projects.

• Follow established safety procedures, including use of PPE and decontamination protocols
• Complete field documentation and assist with project reporting
• Maintain a professional demeanor while working under pressure in dynamic environments

Requirements

• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (8-hour refresher must be up to date)
• Current Specialist level training or valid refresher.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
• Ability to respond to emergency call-outs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in physically demanding conditions
• ???????Must pass a background check, drug screen, and fit test (respirator)
• CDL and previous hazmat experience a plus, but not required
• California-specific: Traffic Incident Management (TIM) course

Offers of employment are contingent upon the results of successfully passing a background screening including a criminal background check, a review of Motor Vehicle Records, social security screening, and a drug and alcohol test as required by law or company policy.

Salary Description

$28-$32 per hour
