Job summary

Robert "Chick" Fritz, Inc. is seeking a delivery driver to efficiently deliver and merchandise case quantities to designated accounts.

You will load and unload the delivery vehicle, rotate products, and ensure accurate daily route paperwork. The role requires maintaining product quality, following QA guidelines, communicating delivery instructions to management, and providing courteous service to retailers.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license and clean driving record required or preferred.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for efficiently and effectively delivering and merchandising case quantities of products distributed by Robert "Chick" Fritz, Inc to account assigned. Loading and Unloading of assigned delivery truck for daily delivery. Responsible for rotation of all products during delivery.Responsibilities are as follows:1. Responsible and accountable for all product inventory loaded out on assigned delivery vehicle. Insures correct inventories upon leaving and returning to warehouse. Responsible for accurately completing all paper work required for daily route reconciliation.2. Responsible for fulfilling distributor commitment in merchandising; i.e, building floor displays, merchandising display, and placing point-of-sale to designated retail accounts.3. Maintains quality of product in all accounts through exchange or removal of out of code or damaged product. Responsible for rotating all back stock on each delivery according to supplier recommendations. Responsible for knowing and adhering to Robert "Chick" Fritz, Inc. Quality Assurance guidelines and procedures. Makes a strong effort to communicate and insure retailers' compliance with suppliers marketing policy.4. Maintains and operates assigned equipment in a safe and courteous manner. Performs daily inspection on assigned vehicle to include; oil and water levels, inspect tires and brakes, windshield wipers, lights, and turn signals to insure proper working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to Operations Manager to schedule repair. Responsible for cleaning inside and bay of assigned vehicle on an as needed basis.5. Communicates both verbally and written as needed with Sales supervisory and / or sales manager and Operations manager to insure efficient coordination of delivery or potential problems which may arise.6. Loads product on assigned delivery equipment for each delivery day. Work with Operations Manager to ensure accurate and efficient loading.7. Unloads all products upon returning to warehouse. Product Returns, breakage, close and out dated product, dunnage and cooperage are placed in designated areas.8. Responsible for accurate orders and quantities loaded for that days route.9. Provide professional and courteous service at all times. Maintain good rapport with public and retailers.10. Understands and adheres to policies and procedures of Robert "Chick" Fritz, Inc.11. Responsible for communicating special delivery instructions to Operations Manager and follow-up on delivery. Updates any account status changes in a timely manner.12. Responsible for electronic equipment including handheld and invoice printer.13. Responsible for collecting invoice on bad debts as requested by office manager and sales supervisor.14. Be well groomed and maintain proper conduct. Wear Robert "Chick" Fritz, Inc. uniforms and safe footwear at all times.15. Responsible for keeping the trucks clean and washed on a regular basis.The following are a must:Class A - CDL Driver's LicenseClean Driving RecordPrior experience preferred but not required
