About the Role

• Looking for an experienced and committed shuttle-driver/art-hander to join our organization and help execute routinely scheduled movements of valuable & fragile commodities.
• This position is critical to supporting the interoffice transfers of artworks and objects. With monthly long‑distance hauls between our MA, NY, and CA offices, galleries, and warehouses – this is a full‑time truck driver position, which also requires proficiency in relocation‑moving, art‑handling, and packing skillsets.
• This role will additionally perform some of our client/residential/estate collections.
• The nature of the role sees this position working alongside a co‑driver while on the road, and as part of our Operations teams while docked at any of our given locations.
• The primary home of our Transportation team is Marlborough, and as such MA residence is preferable for this position.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Driver is tasked to perform continuous transportation operations, including monthly transfers between our NYC/MAR locations, and our MAR/BOS locations.
• Responsibilities when working alongside our Ops teams include: truck loading / unloading, item pulling / placing, barcoding / scanning, condition reporting, and soft packing.
• Client service excellence; expected to represent Bonhams when working in the field and help build closer relations with our clients.

In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your line manager.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Experience in long‑haul trucking is mandatory.
• Ability to not only work well on your own, but also participate meaningfully in team settings and alongside an assigned co‑driver.
• Clean driving record with no history of major infractions or accidents; background check required.
• Valid Driver’s License (no CDL required).
• Experienced in operating / driving box trucks.
• Experienced in art handling / relocation moving / packing.
• Exceptional punctuality and reliability.

Addition Desired Qualities

• Experience working in a warehouse is a plus.
