Job summary

North Coast Electric, part of the Sonepar family, seeks a Delivery Driver to serve Anchorage area customers. You will deliver to job sites and shops, perform vehicle inspections, ensure proper loading, and support warehouse operations with accuracy and customer service.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, pass a DOT physical, and demonstrate safety, reliability, and teamwork. OT eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Age 21 and able to pass DOT Physical.
• Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time.
• Ability to learn use of handheld scanners and operating systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries to customer job sites, shops, and NCElocations.
• Perform daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety and readiness.
• Ensure truck is loaded, secured, and within weight limits.
• Fill orders to support delivery routes.
• Assist in pulling and double checking will-call orders.
• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do:

• Making deliveries to customer job sites, shops, and NCElocations


• Daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety & vehicle readiness using the Driver's Vehicle Inspection Report


• Ensure truck is properly loaded, secured, and within weight limitation


• Filling orders in support of delivery routes


• Assist in pulling and double checking will-call orders


• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse


• Other warehouse duties, as assigned

What You Will Bring:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Verified by background check.)


• Age 21 & able to pass DOT Physical


• Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT)


• Ability to learn use of handheld scanners and operating systems


• Good oral & written communication skills


• Detail oriented


• Self-motivated, teamwork focused, and great customer service skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (75+ lbs.)


• Driving delivery vehicle with a GVW under 15,000 lbs.


• Warehouse environment


• Ability to operate a forklift


• Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required


• Requires punctual regular and reliable on-site attendance

Additional Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.


• Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include a background check, drug screening, credit check, and motor vehicle record review, as permitted by law and required for the position.

Salary & Compensation:

• This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime


• Pay is $20.19/hour - $25.24/hour, DOE.
