Job summary

Goodwill South Florida in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dedicated driver to operate a straight truck or tractor-trailer to move donated goods between collection sites, Goodwill stores, and distribution points. The role requires a Class A or B CDL, a clean driving record, knowledge of local roadways, and the ability to load/unload and complete daily trip manifests.

This is a full-time day-shift position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Two years of straight truck or tractor-trailer driving experience and training or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and areas is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate the straight truck or tractor-trailer unit safely and efficiently.
• Report any vehicle problems or defects.
• Transport and deliver goods per schedule.
• Load and unload merchandise as needed at Attended Donation Centers, stores, and other locations.
• Comply with the DOT standards and regulations. Maintain a good driving record.
• Ensure good customer relations by consistently servicing Attended Donation Centers on time and acting courteously and professionally.
• Complete and submit the daily trip manifest upon returning to the dispatch office.
• All other duties as assigned.

Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

QualificationsEducation and Experience

• Work under specific instructions.
• Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and areas is necessary.

Certificates / Licenses / Registrations

• A Current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
• Ryder Driver Certification.
• Must pass the DOT physical certification and be updated every two years.

Work Environment
