Job summary

Ccs4u is seeking a part-time transportation driver to provide safe, reliable rides for adults attending the Erin Adult Day Program and related medical or social appointments. You will perform daily vehicle checks, maintain logs, and ensure MOT standards, with occasional driving of an 18-passenger bus as needed.

Position requires a valid F/B class license, clean driving record, Vulnerable Sector Screening, First Aid/CPR Level C, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires valid F or B class driver’s license and clean driving abstract.

• Two years experience with frail population.
• First Aid/CPR Level C certification.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to Adult Day Program clients and seniors for medical and social appointments.
• Perform daily circle checks and maintain log books; ensure vehicle maintenance.
• Complete inspections per Ministry of Transportation standards and drive agency van; may drive 18-passenger bus as needed.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records and assist with deliveries to/from donors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Sanitize vehicle after each ride and observe masking if required.
• Record transportation-related information and report to supervisors.

Job description

As an essential member of the Transportation Team, the incumbent is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation support on a part-time or casual basis to provide transportation to clients who attend the Adult Day Program in Erin. In addition, the Driver may also provide transportation to seniors to attend medical and social service appointments, and assist with the delivery of items to/from donors, clients, and other stakeholders. The Driver is responsible for daily circle checks and log book entries of the vehicle and to ensure proper vehicle maintenance. The driver must complete inspections and documentation in accordance with Ministry of Transportation standards. Driver will operate our agency van but may also be required to drive our 18-passenger bus as needed. Driver will have knowledge of motor vehicles and will additionally take vehicles in for servicing as necessary. Other duties may include maintaining records regarding vehicle maintenance, and other information pertaining to transportation services.

Drivers may be required to wear masks, and will sanitize the vehicle after each ride.

Salary Type: per hour Salary: 21.30

Job Requirements:
