Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Commercial Class Driver for Oakmont Senior Living communities in California. The role requires a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement, and entails operating community vehicles for outings and resident appointments on a part-time basis, Tue-Sat.

The driver will assist with loading residents, follow safety laws, and maintain a secure environment while providing excellent customer service and teamwork with staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in transporting residents, observing speed limits while remaining punctual and safe.
• Act as a member of the activity staff on outings and excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
