Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Reston, VA is hiring a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and assist with mobility needs. You will follow safety standards, complete logs, and support residents during trips with compassion.

Responsibilities include helping residents in and out of vehicles, performing pre-trip inspections, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. A valid license, clean driving record, and HS diploma are required; CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification may be required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving

You play a critical role in resident safety, reliability, and positive community experiences.

What We're Looking For:

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• CPR certification (as required)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices

Pay Range:

17.30 - 21.70
