Job summary

BTX Precision is seeking an entry-level packaging and logistics associate to prepare parts for processing and customers. You will count, label, stage, and package items, while maintaining clean work areas and accurate ERP entries. You will assist with loading, staging, and inspection, ensuring quality and traceability of shipments.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior packaging experience is preferred or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Package parts going to outside processes or customer in a safe and clean manner that will protect the product from damage and/or oxidation.
  • Count all parts prior to shipping or delivery and upon receipt to verify quantity.
  • Manage the inventory process using designated locations and make correct entries in the ERP system.
  • Ensure inventory is stored in a clean and safe manner to prevent any damage to the parts.
  • Product received from outside processing should be completely unpacked and brought to inspection.
  • Maintain work area, boxes and supplies in a clean organized fashion.
  • Create labels for shipping and enter information correctly into internal systems.
  • Assist with staging of product or material, including WIP via bins, shelves, carts, pallets etc.
  • Last line of defense concerning quality control in regard to visual inspection, documentation control and ensuring that quality product is shipped and received.
  • Provide help with cleaning and organization of facilities when needed.
  • Receive incoming items from carriers and verify against packing list and PO.
  • Document work on logs, router and ERP system to maintain traceability and quality records.
  • Aware of FOD and preventing FOD through visual review of finished or WIP product and packaging.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and understand their contribution to QMS.

  • Manage the inventory process using designated locations and make correct entries in the ERP system. Ensure inventory is stored in a clean and safe manner to prevent any damage to the parts.
  • Product received from outside processing should be completely unpacked and brought to inspection. No parts should be brought to quality unless unpacked or otherwise directed.
  • Required to maintain work area, boxes and supplies in a clean organized fashion.
  • Creating labels for shipping, entering information correctly into our internal system or customer portals.
  • Assist with staging of product or material, including WIP via bins, shelves, carts, pallets etc.
  • Last line of defense concerning quality control in regard to visual inspection, documentation control and ensuring that quality product is shipped and received.
  • Provides help with cleaning and organization of facilities when needed.
  • Driving of company vehicle in a safe manner while being a positive representative of the company when driving, and interacting with vendors, suppliers and customers.
  • Receive incoming items from UPS, FED EX or any other carrier and verify for accuracy against packing list and PO, as applicable.
  • When needed willingness to work in other areas such as operating, assembly, deburr or other production areas.
  • Document work on logs, router and ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and quality records.
  • Aware of FOD and preventing FOD through visual review of finished or WIP product and packaging of product.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
  • Identify when applicable, continuous improvement of processes and/or job-related duties and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
