Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Norton, Ohio. This role requires inspecting vehicles, ensuring safe operation, and delivering goods to customer sites while maintaining DOT-compliant logs.

You’ll work full-time, with day shifts and a focus on safety and efficiency. We offer a competitive pay range from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, a sign-on bonus up to a target amount, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage from day one, paid holidays, 401(k) with profit sharing,

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Able to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient for safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying knowledge of driving regulations and safe maneuvering.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
