Project Independence Services Inc is seeking a reliable Driver to provide safe, compassionate transportation in New Bedford, MA. You will support clients by getting them to programs on time while upholding dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in passenger transport or related driving role preferred.
• Ability to assist individuals with disabilities or special needs respectfully.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from program.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing in the vehicle as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, staff, and clients regarding schedules and route changes
• Complete accurate trip logs, mileage reports, and other required documentation
• Respond promptly and professionally to client needs during transport
