• Current, valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Patient and comfortable working with older adults.

• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends may be required.
• Experience transporting seniors or in senior living is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments, activities, outings, and other scheduled destinations.
• Assist residents safely when entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Perform routine safety checks of the community vehicle.
• Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and ready for use.
• Monitor vehicle fluid levels and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Communicate transportation, routing, scheduling, or resident concerns to leadership.
• Maintain a warm, professional, and respectful relationship with residents and families.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Respond calmly to unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Participate in required training, meetings, and safety procedures.
• Follow applicable transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with other resident-focused needs and community responsibilities as assigned.

Woodland Heights Senior Living is looking for a dependable, friendly, and safety-focused Driver to join our team! This position plays an important role in helping our residents stay active, connected, and independent by providing safe and reliable transportation to appointments, outings, activities, and other scheduled destinations.

What You'll Do:

• Safely transport residents to appointments, activities, outings, and scheduled destinations
• Assist residents safely when entering and exiting the vehicle

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
• Patient and comfortable working with older adults
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in unexpected situations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends
• Previous experience transporting seniors or individuals who need additional assistance is preferred
• Senior living, assisted living, or dementia care experience is a plus
• Ability to obtain or maintain any driver licensing or certifications required for the position

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular mobility and the ability to safely assist residents as needed. Duties may include prolonged standing, walking, sitting and driving, as well as bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting/carrying items associated with resident transportation.
