Job summary

Nathan Adelson Hospice seeks a Transportation System Driver to safely transport patients between medical environments in a company owned specialty vehicle. The role requires knowledge of body mechanics, transfer techniques, and universal precautions, with EMT training preferred.

Available shift is Full-time: Sat–Mon 9:00am–7:30pm and Tue 12:00pm–10:30pm. High School diploma or GED is preferred; healthcare transport experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Driving experience in a transportation system required; healthcare experience desirable.
• Knowledge of metro area and EMT training preferred.

The Transportation System Driver reports to the Transportation System Supervisor and is responsible for safely transporting patients between various medical environments in a company owned specialty vehicle. The Driver needs to know proper body mechanics, transfer techniques and Universal Precautions and have knowledge of basic medical equipment. Actively supports and promotes the hospice’s vision, mission and overall philosophy.

Available Shift:

• Full-time: Saturday - Monday from 9:00am - 7:30pm and Tuesday from 12:00pm - 10:30pm

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Driving experience in a transportation system required preferably in the transportation of people with healthcare experience desirable.
• Knowledge of the metro area and EMT training preferred.
