Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to load and check materials, and deliver them to customers or Capital Electric branches.

You will build positive customer relationships while maintaining a reliable delivery service. This full‑time role requires safe driving and timely coordination of daily routes, with competitive hourly pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving with a 20 ft box truck or similar vehicle.
• Must pass the DOT physical.
• No traffic violations or license suspensions for the past year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck.
• Deliver material to customers or Capital Electric branches.
• Create shipping manifests and perform truck maintenance checks.
• Drive defensively to various locations and provide good customer service.
• Unload and place material per customer requests and handle returns.

Summary

A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customer or Capital Electric branch in a timely professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery service

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck
• Create shipping manifests
• Perform truck maintenance inspections
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
• Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
• Unload and place material where customer requests
• Provide good customer service
• Pick-up customer returns
• Unload truck of customer returns
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience - 20 ft. box truck
• Must be able to pass the DOT physical
• No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic

Salary: $17 - 24 / hour
