Job summary

Stuart Hose & Pipe, a SunSource company, is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate to operate a Company vehicle, deliver products to customers, and assist with loading and unloading of the delivery truck. You will verify shipments, obtain signatures, and return items to the branch as needed.

This position works in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure during the day. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, along with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the delivery area.
• Ability to move up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist warehouse employees in preparing items for delivery, including packing products and sorting delivery items by route.
• Deliver and unload product at customer facility using appropriate tools, ensure all product is courteously delivered.
• Verify all product is delivered against shipping documents provided and obtain customer signature on appropriate documentation provided.
• May transport return items from customer to warehouse.
• Ability to efficiently deliver to multiple routes may be required.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Providing warehouse support as needed.
• May assist with restocking shelves.

The Driver/ Warehouse Associate will be responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver product to customers. The Driver will also be required to manually load and unload the delivery truck, verify that all parts are loaded and unloaded, obtain signatures from receiving locations confirming accuracy of parts received, and deliver returned items back to the branch.

Job Duties:

• Assist warehouse employees in preparing items for delivery, including packing products and sorting delivery items by route
• Deliver and unload product at customer facility using appropriate tools, ensure all product is courteously delivered
• Verify all product is delivered against shipping documents provided and obtains customer signature on appropriate documentation provided
• May transport return items from customer to warehouse

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must be familiar with delivery area
• Ability to move up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Good organization skills
• Reliable and dependable
• No CDL required

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand tools, box cutters and tape dispensers. Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move object 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weight more than 100 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
