Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely and efficiently deliver propane to customers, load/unload cargo, and perform vehicle inspections. You will use technology to track inventory, print delivery tickets, and submit daily driver reports while upholding safety standards.

Requirements include a CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a current DOT medical certificate, and the ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification is required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, load and unload propane safely for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and accurate delivery records.
• Monitor inventory, tank levels, and complete driver reports.
• Coordinate with the Dispatcher on routing, scheduling and safety issues.
• Occasionally work overtime as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle inspections and site inspections.

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification
