Dial Senior Living in Coralville, IA is seeking a part-time Driver to transport residents to activities and appointments while maintaining safety and high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with mobility, logging appointments for billing, and reporting vehicle issues. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and appropriate CDL if driving a bus. Join our team and help enrich residents' daily lives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• CDL Class B or C if driving a bus.
• Chauffeur’s license if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Ensure resident safety entering/exiting vehicle.
• Assist residents with walking aids when boarding/alighting.
• Provide high level customer service at all times.
• Maintain appointment records for monthly billing.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical problems or vehicle deficiencies.
• Assist lifestyle team with outings when needed.
• Report concerns about resident wellbeing to supervisor.
• Assist in emergency evacuation drills and help move residents to safety.
• Keep vehicle clean, orderly and safe.
• Report on-the-job injuries to supervisor the same day.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.

Position Overview

This position provides safe transportation for residents to scheduled activities and appointments.

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments and other locations, communicating effectively with residents.
• Ensure the safety of the residents as they enter and exit the vehicle.
• Ensure that the residents get into the office/building of their appointment in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist the residents with walking aids when entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain records of resident appointments and submit to office for monthly billing per established procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems/deficiencies of the vehicle.
• When necessary, assist the lifestyle team with activities during outings.
• Report any concerns of the resident’s well-being to supervisor or Executive Director.
• Participate in emergency evacuation drills and help assist residents to safe areas, as needed.
• Maintain vehicle in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, facility operations and personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must have Class B or C CDL license, if driving applicable bus
• Chauffer’s license, if required by state
