Job summary

Standard Supply & Distributing Co. in Texas is hiring a Driver & Warehouse Associate to join our operations team. This hybrid role drives box trucks and works in the warehouse, delivering orders and pulling/packing items with care.

You will use a tablet for routes, perform basic vehicle checks, and collaborate with teammates to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate inventory. A High School diploma and at least 1 year of driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience on a box truck.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and documents.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
• Willingness to pass background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Drive a box truck safely and deliver orders to customers, with signature when required.
• Deliver orders with professionalism and care; ensure proper handoffs.
• Use a tablet for route management and proof of delivery.
• Load and unload trucks; assist with inventory and order preparation.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues to the supervisor.
• Operate RF Scan Gun to complete daily tasks and scans.
• Follow all warehouse procedures for pickups and product handling.
• Contribute to team tasks to support overall operations.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Driving a box truck safely and responsibly (at least 1 year of experience required)

• Need to be able to use a tablet for the delivery routes
• Loading and unloading trucks with precision
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance checks and reporting issues to the branch manager

• Following all warehouse procedures for pickups and product handling

What You Bring to the Team

We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the physical stamina to thrive in a hands-on role.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a box truck or equivalent within the last three to five years of employment history.
• A clean driving record (no major or repeated violations)
• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs and signals, communicate with law enforcement and document reports and records as required by the Federal Code of Regulations.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the day
• Able to climb ladders, bend, kneel, twist, and reach in high/low spaces
• Experience handling large, bulky, or oddly shaped items
• Willingness to pass a background check, drug screening and DOT Physical Exam
