Responsibilities
Provides scheduled and unscheduled medical transportation services and delivers the passenger to the appropriate location.
Responds to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations to provide medical transportation services.
Provides safe medical team and/or passenger movement from/to wheelchair/stretcher at home, hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities.
Provides passenger safety monitoring, enroute to destination and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities.
Provides passenger monitoring per state law, adhering to company, local, regional, and state guidelines.
Performs other duties as directed.
Reporting
Field Supervisor or Operations Manager as appropriate for all operational activities.
Qualifications
Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
Currently licensed, certified or registered by the appropriate state agencies.
Currently certified in CPR by the AHA or other appropriate organization.
Currently certified in First Aid by the ARC or other appropriate organization.
Must become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician within one year of hire.
Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
Currently has a clean driving record as approved by company vehicle liability insurer.
Most successfully complete a CEVO ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course.
Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
Must have the ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, public safety personnel and medical staff.
