Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Warehouse Driver / Warehouse Assistant to support warehouse organization and transport construction equipment to and from job sites. Duties include loading/unloading, operating power tools and equipment, and maintaining logs in line with DOT regulations.

Candidates should have a CDL Class A license, strong physical endurance, and the ability to work day, evening, or night shifts, including overtime as needed. Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' related experience; Class A CDL license required.
  • Forklift safety certifications a plus.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) per company requirements to operate on company business.
  • Physical strength and endurance to perform principal duties.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver supplies and equipment to job sites in compliance with DOT rules.
  • Load and unload tools and equipment onto trucks/trailers.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and reports per state and federal regulations.
  • Operate power equipment (winches, chainsaws, hydraulics, aerial lifts) as needed.
  • Assist with inventory controls and tracking of tools and equipment.
  • Work in remote and rough terrain locations and odd shifts including overtime.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Driver / Warehouse Assistant is responsible for providing assistance with warehouse organization and transporting construction equipment and material to and from job sites. In addition, may need to assist in loading and unloading the equipment and material and additional related responsibilities, as directed.

Essential Functions
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values".
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics".
  • Deliver supplies and various equipment to job sites - strict adherence to DOT rules and regulations.
  • General Warehouse duties when not transporting/traveling.
  • Assist with inventory controls and tracking of tools and equipment.
  • Valid CDL Class "A" Driver's License.
  • Load and unload tools and equipment onto trucks and/or trailers.
  • Operate power equipment such as winches, chain saws, and hydraulic equipment such as aerial lifts (buckets), diggers-derricks mounted on trucks, hand tools, etc.
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor at construction project sites.
  • Work in remote and rough terrain locations.
  • Maintains vehicle logs and records, as required, according to State and Federal regulations.
  • Monitors vehicle performance and reports malfunctions.
  • Obeys all traffic regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years' related experience; Class A CDL license required.
  • Forklift safety certifications a plus.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), per the company's established requirements in order to be eligible to operate a vehicle on company business.
  • Working knowledge and ability of proper and safe use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction helpful.
  • Current DOT Medical card.
  • Must be able to meet all Federal Motor Carrier Regulation standards.
  • Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities.

Must have ability to work day, evenings or nightshifts and overtime; emergency call outs, weekends and holidays, as the needs of the business necessitate.
