DRIVER# DRIVERLegal Address - Allentown, PA 18103-3689## OverviewSalary Range$19.00 - $19.00 Hourly## Description## Position SummaryThe Delivery Driver / Shop Support Technician is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from customer locations, vendors, and company facilities. In addition to delivery responsibilities, this position provides support throughout the facility as directed by management, assisting various departments including Material Handling, Maintenance, Production, and General Operations.This position requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to perform a variety of tasks necessary to support the daily operations of Eastern Surfaces.## Essential Job Functions### Delivery Responsibilities* Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and traffic laws.* Transport materials, supplies, tools, and equipment between company locations, vendors, and job sites.* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report deficiencies promptly.* Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.* Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.* Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing Eastern Surfaces.### Shop Support Responsibilities* Assist the Material Handling Department with moving, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing stone slabs, materials, and inventory.* Assist Maintenance personnel with facility improvement projects, equipment support, and general labor tasks.* Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility, including cleaning work areas, clearing trenches, removing debris, and maintaining orderly departments.* Participate in facility-wide cleanup efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.### Safety Responsibilities* Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.* Properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).* Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.* Participate in required safety training and meetings.* Maintain compliance with company vehicle safety and fleet management policies.## Vehicle Maintenance and Service Authorization* Drivers are responsible for reporting vehicle maintenance concerns, defects, or service needs to management immediately.* Employees in this position are not authorized to schedule, approve, or initiate vehicle repairs, maintenance services, or vendor service calls.* Any vehicle service, repair, maintenance appointment, or vendor contact must receive prior approval from the Fleet Manager or the Fleet Manager’s designated assistant.* Unauthorized service arrangements may result in disciplinary action.## Qualifications## Qualifications* Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.* Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds, with heavier loads requiring team lifting or mechanical assistance.* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and prolonged standing.* Strong communication and teamwork skills.* Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.## Physical Requirements* Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.* Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing.* Ability to work around moving equipment, machinery, and material handling operations.* Ability to safely perform manual labor and general facility support tasks.
