Job summary

HDR seeks an experienced Drinking Water Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in Missouri locations (St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, or Columbia).

You will lead the planning and design of treatment facilities, pump stations, and distribution systems, coordinating multi-discipline teams through the project lifecycle. The role emphasizes client development, project leadership, and QA/QC, with responsibilities including budget control, scheduling, mentoring staff, and collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate projects with technical complexity across the lifecycle.
• Develop marketing initiatives to capture expanding service opportunities.
• Establish and maintain client relationships.
• Lead design production and review meetings.
• Manage staffing and workload to meet budgets and schedules.
• Track project finances and ensure on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Provide QA/QC oversight and promote quality delivery.
• Mentor staff and develop capabilities within the team.
• Support business development and strategic planning.
