Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Scranton, PA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator / Driller Trainee (Quarry). If you have experience with backhoes, skid steers, excavators, or loaders, join a stable, employee-owned company.

Qualifications

Experience operating heavy equipment is helpful across earth-moving and related machinery.
Valid driver’s license with own transportation.
Experience as a construction laborer or in a similar role.
Ability to exercise common sense around equipment and machinery operations.
Mechanical aptitude with equipment, motors, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Must complete ATF background screening.

Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.
Adhere to Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
Learn drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by the Blaster Foreman.
Inventory accessories and understand related costs.
Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blaster/Foreman.
Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards.
