The Staff Pad partnered with a full-service excavation and pipeline construction company to hire an experienced Driller Locator for Tyler, TX. This role supports safe, accurate HDD operations by tracking the drill head, reading depth and position, and guiding the driller along the bore path.

You will verify clearance from utilities, assist with potholing and setup, and work as part of the ground crew while adhering to safety requirements. Overtime is offered and benefits are provided.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a Driller Locator for HDD.
• Proficiency with walkover locating systems (DigiTrak, Falcon, Subsite).
• Ability to read utility locate markings, prints, and bore plans.
• Ability to verify signal accuracy in active interference conditions.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with minimal violations.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Mansioni

• Operate walkover locating equipment to track the drill head and bore path.
• Communicate depth, pitch, roll, and position to the driller and call corrections.
• Walk and mark the planned bore path and verify utility locate marks.
• Confirm clearance from utilities and direct potholing at crossings.
• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot locating equipment and transmitters.
• Record bore logs and support as-built documentation.
• Assist with drill rod handling, mud mixing, pullback and site cleanup.
• Maintain traffic control devices and follow safety procedures.
