Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable Accommodations.
• Previous rig experience as a Floorhand, Motorhand and/or Derrickhand or 1 year as a Driller.
• Strong knowledge of Floorhand, Motorhand and Derrickhand roles.
• Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the rig

Responsibilities

• Anticipate potential problems, pre plan and implement corrective action to meet drilling goals.
• Ensure the safety of the drill crew and all support personnel on the drill floor.
• Oversee proper rig up/down, maintenance and housekeeping around the drill floor.
• Ensure drilling operations follow the established plan.
• Together with the Rig Manager, train and develop employees to meet career goals and company needs.
• Monitor progress, determine bit changes while operating pumps and draw-works.
• Operate rig controls and monitor pump pressures, weight indicators, and other equipment.
• Knowledge of Canrig Top Drives, accumulators, draw works.
• Adjust mud pumps to maintain proper circulation.
• Perform basic math functions.
