Job description

HELICAL DRILLING is seeking an experienced DRILLER FOREMAN specializing in GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING OPERATIONS to join our team to lead and oversee drilling projects with precision and safety.

You will need experience running KLEMM, TEI, COMACCHIO and BARETTA equipment and drilling Micro-Piles, Rock or Soil Anchors, Tiebacks, Soil Nails, Micro‑piles in often challenging soil conditions all over New England to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Manage your drilling crew, coordinate equipment use and ensure that all geotechnical drilling activities meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain drilling equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform rigging, hoisting, and spotting for equipment movement.
  • Perform soil leveling and ground preparation for equipment and materials.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with basic equipment repairs.
  • Operate support equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, excavators, mixers, and pumps as needed.
  • Perform general labor tasks including digging, backfilling, site cleanup, and material handling.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools including drills, saws, grinders, jackhammers, concrete mixers, and pneumatic tampers.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Travel to jobsites throughout the New England region.
  • Work as a full‑time Field crew member, typically averaging 50-55 hours per week.

  • Pay at the overtime rate of 1.5 after 8 hours of regular work daily.

  • Mileage and rate paid after 20 miles drive each way.

Must be able to pass Drug Screen and DOT Medical Physical, speak, read, and write English.
