Role Description

The Assistant Driller supports the Drill Rig Operator in daily field operations, including setting up drilling equipment, handling tooling and materials, and assisting with borehole advancement for geotechnical, environmental, and water well projects. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe jobsite, performing basic equipment checks, loading and unloading supplies, and helping collect soil and rock samples under supervision. The role involves following safety protocols, supporting routine inspections of equipment and work areas, and documenting basic field activities as directed. We operate year-round in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications
  • Skills related to operating or assisting with heavy equipment, including safe handling, basic maintenance awareness, and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Ski lls related to inspection, including observing equipment and site conditions and reporting issues to supervisors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training related to construction or equipment operation is beneficial.
  • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions, lift moderate to heavy loads, and travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, punctuality, and following instructions and site procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in drilling, construction, or related field work is beneficial but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
