Job summary

Equinox Gold is seeking a Drill Services Technician to support the warehouse, perform core sawing and sampling, and complete drill pad staking and basic field tasks. You will work independently and safely in field and warehouse environments, handling samples, preparing dispatches, and using GPS tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of Exploration experience as a Drill Services Technician.
• Two years of mining industry experience.
• Ability to read maps and operate GPS units.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reverse circulation (RC) sample bags and chip trays.
• Update exploration tracker with sample bag and chip tray completion and field-related activities.
• Handle drill core, sawing, and core sampling properly.
• Prepare sample dispatches for assay labs.
• Read maps, use GPS, and navigate unimproved roads to pick up samples.
• Execute unbiased core sampling and packaging for photon assay.
• Properly complete a field-level risk assessment for earthwork and drilling activities.
• Properly complete daily drill rig checks and workplace inspections.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized warehouse, including storing core, chips, and pulps.
• Conduct accurate XRF analysis on pulp samples.
