Job summary

Timberline Drilling Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to support nationwide core drilling operations for surface and underground mining. Roles involve long shifts, travel as needed, and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

You will work with drill crews to safely place drills, operate equipment, inspect sites, and ensure accurate documentation of all activities. Candidates must pass a pre-employment screen, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel for multi-day assignments.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• High physical stamina to work long shifts in varying conditions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate light vehicles and equipment safely.

• Strong problem solving to troubleshoot drilling issues on site.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to Safety: work safely every day and protect the environment.
• Hazard Identification: recognize hazards and unsafe actions.
• Leadership and Coordination: lead crews and coordinate with contractors.
• Equipment Operation: operate underground and surface core drills safely.
• Crew Orientation: train drill crews in procedures and sampling.
• Client Communication: coordinate with client personnel to avoid schedule conflicts.
• Supply Management: ensure drill supplies are available on time.
• Vehicle Operation: drive light vehicles under various road conditions.
• Safety Compliance: conduct inspections and meetings per MSHA rules.
• Sample Processing: ship samples to processing facility with proper documentation.
• Document Accuracy: assist with drill-related documents.
• Communication: report drill activities and issues to supervisors.
• Troubleshooting: address down-hole issues using experience.
• Surveying: perform accurate drill hole surveys on completion.
