Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1-2 years with Boring Drill and related equipment; ability to read and interpret engineered drawings
• Skills: Ability to perform duties satisfactorily
• Language: Read, speak, and understand English
• Licenses: Class A CDL License with a clean driving record
• Physical: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, vision, hearing
• Mental: Ability to follow procedures, problem-solving skills
• Working Conditions: Field environment, subject to weather conditions

Duties / Tasks

1. Start work on time and be available at the beginning of each workday.
2. Assist in safe setup and breakdown of work zones.
3. Operate directional boring machines and drill for underground utility placement.
4. Drill and pull back conduit, cable, and fiber.
5. Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools according to project plans.
6. Operate backhoe as needed.
7. Drive trucks/vehicles while towing loaded trailers, requiring Class A CDL License.
8. Ditch/trench, backfill excavations, and grade earth per specifications.
9. Assist in pipe and riser installation.
10. Locate utilities and set pedestals.
11. Maintain neat grooming and wear company uniform.
12. Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
13. Attend safety meetings.
14. Read and check prints.
15. Undergo annual performance evaluations.
16. Follow safety rules and regulations.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
18. Maintain necessary licenses, including Class A CDL.
19. Work outdoors, understanding project deadlines.
