Job summary

Tri-Mack Plastics Manufacturing in Bristol, Rhode Island seeks a Drier Maintenance & Materials Handler (Injection Molding). This role moves raw and finished materials, maintains dryers and loaders, and ensures a clean, safe work area while following ISO/OSHA guidelines.

You will inspect materials, set up machines, and assist maintenance, with a focus on reliability and quality. Requires a High School diploma and at least 2 years in injection molding, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an injection molding environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide raw material for each injection molding machine and record usage.
  • Keep materials and equipment clean and free from contamination.
  • Ensure hoppers, dryers and material handling equipment are available and operational.
  • Perform routine maintenance on hoppers and dryers (filters, heaters, etc.).
  • Read work orders to determine material type and quantity needed.
  • Inspect incoming material and coordinate with engineers on inspection plans.
  • Return material to stock and record in Visual system.
  • Assist in set-up and maintenance of machines as requested.
  • Handle materials and set-up for Preform machines; operate injection molding machines as required.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and support Maintenance Department.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and uphold company values.

Position: Drier Maintenance & Material Handler (Injection Molding)

Summary:

The Drier Maintenance & Materials Handler (Injection Molding) position is responsible for the movement of raw and finished materials to and from the workstations for each job. This position assures that material dryers, loaders and other material handling equipment are thoroughly cleaned, operational and available for use. In addition, the Materials Handler keeps the Injection Molding area clean and free from contamination and damage. The Material Handler will assist in maintenance, set-ups and operating the machines as required. It also requires the ability to work independently, adhere to strict safety ISO and OSHA guidelines, maintain a clean work area and keep all molds/equipment in good, working condition.


Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • Provide the raw material for each injection molding machine. Properly recording the usage in Visual.

  • Keeps all material and ancillary equipment clean and free of contamination and damage.

  • Assures all hoppers, dryers and other material handling equipment are available and operational.

  • Regular maintenance of hoppers and dryers (filters, heaters, etc.)

  • Reads and interprets work orders to determine the type and quantity of material needed.

  • Perform incoming material inspections (pellet contamination), work with IMP Engineers on inspection plans.

  • Return all material back to the stock room and properly record it in Visual.

  • Assist in the set-up and maintenance of any machine as requested.

  • Material handling and set-up of the Preform machines

  • Operate and run an injection molding machine as requested.

  • Assist in resolving any inventory discrepancies.

  • Provide support to the Maintenance Department as requested.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner and always follow Tri-Mack Values: Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability and Durability

  • Adhere to all AS9100 requirements as specified in work instructions and by your supervisor.

Education, Skills & Experience:


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an injection molding environment required.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required; comfortable with hand tools.

  • Physical ability to properly move molds and other equipment as needed, to lift 40 pounds and stand for a long period of time.

  • Working knowledge of standard OSHA regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • General math knowledge and ability to calculate and solve certain geometric problems.

  • Ability to use and understand all measuring tools.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to get along with and support others on your team.

  • Show up on time and work your scheduled hours
