Job summary

American Woodmark Cumberland is seeking a Drawer Box Assembler to build, rail, and front drawer boxes for cabinets in a manufacturing setting. You will use air tools, glue, and required equipment to assemble parts and complete rails/clips on finished boxes, while ensuring quality standards.

You'll interpret production labels, operate a computer system for box building, and maintain a safe, orderly work area. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required depending on production needs.

Qualifications

• Identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes and drawer front styles.
• Read a standard tape measure and apply basic math.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare drawer boxes using air and hand tools, and install rails/clips.
• Glue drawer boxes and attach rails with hot melt glue.
• Ensure drawer boxes meet quality specifications.
• Operate computer system to build and front drawer boxes.
• Interpret production labels accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
