Job summary

Cone Health in Greensboro, NC seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a floating role across MedCenters. The position requires working four shifts per week and will float between facilities with the location decided before each shift.

The RN will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, reconcile records, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current NC or compact-state RN license required (plus BLS).

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient needs to deliver nursing care in assigned unit.
• Analyzes patient information to develop individualized care plans.
• Prepares nursing processes including medication administration and treatments.
• Reconciles medical records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

*** This position will float to both Medcenters and work 4 shifts per week. The location will be decided prior to the start of the shift, and will float during shift as well.

Essential Job Function:

• Reviews patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care in assigned unit to ensure that every patient receives the direct and proper care needed.
• Analyzes patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Prepares nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments to provide comprehensive and effective patient care.
• Reconciles medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions and identifies any additional interventions needed to meet defined goals of care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: Associate degree in nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience:

• Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
• Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
