Hunter Douglas, a world-leading window coverings manufacturer, seeks a Machine Operator for Carole Fabrics in Augusta, GA. You will trim excess lining and fabric from drapery panels using flat or vertical tables, inspect for flaws, and ensure accurate hems.

The role emphasizes safety and efficient production in a fast-moving environment. You will also cut fabric, set hidden tabs, and document lengths while following all safety rules and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• General knowledge of fabrics.
• Ability to use production equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Successfully pass color blind test.
• Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling.
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
• Capable of lifting on a continuous basis.
• Strong attention to details.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Trim excess lining and fabric from drapery panels using flat or vertical tables.
• Inspect fabric for flaws or defects and measure hems.
• Cut fabric and trim off extra lining.
• Set tabs using iron and serge sewing machine.
• Document hem and finished length on control box.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and report hazards.
• Move between worksites as needed.
