Job summary

Accurate Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated Sewer/Drain Plumber to diagnose, install, and repair sewer lines and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. You will use cameras, hydro-jetting, and excavation tools to clear blockages and restore proper flow.

Minimum qualifications include 3 years of sewer/drain plumbing experience, knowledge of local codes and safety regulations, and the ability to work safely in confined spaces.

  • Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE.

About the Role

The Sewer/Drain Plumber plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the essential underground and above-ground plumbing systems that manage wastewater and drainage for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This position requires expertise in diagnosing, installing, and repairing sewer lines, storm drains, and related infrastructure to ensure efficient and safe waste disposal. The role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to address blockages, leaks, and system failures while adhering to local codes and safety regulations. The Sewer/Drain Plumber collaborates with property owners, contractors, and municipal authorities to deliver timely and effective plumbing solutions. Ultimately, this position ensures the integrity and functionality of drainage systems, protecting public health and the environment from contamination and water damage.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years proven experience working as a plumber with a focus on sewer and drain systems.
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to operate plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
  • Experience with a hydrojetter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or formal plumbing training related to sewer and drainage systems.
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic technologies such as CCTV sewer inspection cameras.
  • Familiarity with trenchless sewer repair techniques and equipment.
  • Certification in confined space entry and safety procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork.
