Job summary

Roto-Rooter is looking for a Drain Service Technician in Hartford, CT. You will diagnose sewer and drain problems, provide cost estimates, unclog and clean lines, and document estimates and invoices with our equipment and smartphone app.

First year pay starts at $55,000 with annual increases as you gain experience. We offer 12 weeks of paid training, comprehensive benefits, a matching 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities with a well-known national brand.

• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable but not required.

First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12weeks of paidsewer and drainservicetraining,plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.

Responsibilities

• Roto-Rooter drain service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
• A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license
• Effective communication skills.
• A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.
