Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service in Austin, TX is seeking a Drain Service Technician. You will diagnose sewer and drain problems, provide cost estimates, unclog and clean drains, document estimates and invoices, and collect payments to move on to the next call.

First-year earnings at our Austin branch range from $60,000 to $80,000. Roto-Rooter offers 12 weeks of paid training and ongoing training to support career advancement at a national brand.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose sewer and drain problems and provide cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains using company equipment.
• Document estimates and invoices, in writing and on a smartphone.

First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay! Pay increases quickly with each year of experience. The average earnings for this position at our Austin, Texas branch is between $60,000-$80,000 a year.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.

Responsibilities

• Roto-Rooter drain service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
• A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.
