JK Concepts Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Drafter/Engineer to produce detailed Microvellum shop drawings for high-end commercial projects. The role requires a strong background in cabinetry and millwork drafting, with a passion for precision and collaboration.

You’ll work on-site with project managers, estimators, purchasing, and production to deliver accurate build-ready drawings, review materials and cut lists, and support continuous improvement of drafting processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of drafting and release experience using Microvellum.
• Strong understanding of cabinet layout and millwork fabrication methods.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and specs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and design drawings, documents, and specifications.
• Create detailed shop drawings for custom cabinetry and millwork using Microvellum.

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented Drafter/Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO.
This on-site position is responsible for creating cabinet and millwork shop drawings from architectural blueprints using Microvellum. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in architectural woodworking, custom commercial wood products, design and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, purchasing, and production to deliver accurate, build-ready drawings that drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and design drawings, documents, and specifications.
• Create detailed and accurate shop drawings for custom cabinetry and millwork using Microvellum.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings to effectively communicate design and fabrication details.
• Review and verify drawings, materials, and cut lists before releasing to production.
• Collaborate across departments to identify and resolve design or fabrication challenges.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
• Support ongoing process improvement and best practice initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of drafting and releasing experience using Microvellum.
• Strong understanding of cabinet layout, millwork fabrication methods, and materials.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and technical specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to solve complex design challenges independently.
• Experience working in Innergy is a plus, but not required.
