Job summary

CTG is seeking a Drafting/CAD Technician II for our client in Wilmington, NC. The role focuses on drafting and documentation, producing 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD. Requires two years of mechanical drafting experience and knowledge of ASME/ANSI standards.

This hybrid remote position supports engineering and production teams, converts legacy designs, ensures accuracy, and maintains drawings to drafting standards. Pay rate is $28.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, A.O.S. in Drafting/CAD or equivalent.
• Two or more years of professional mechanical drafting experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 2D/3D CAD.
• Knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow established drafting standards and procedures.
• Strong Windows and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

CTG is seeking to fill a Drafting/CAD Technician II opening for our client in Wilmington, NC.

Location: Wilmington, NC (hybrid remote)

Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Pay Rate: $28.81

Overview

The ideal candidate has at least two years of professional mechanical drafting experience and is proficient with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault. This position will support the creation, revision, and maintenance of mechanical drawings and 3D models for custom process equipment.

This role focuses on drafting and documentation rather than new product design.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 2D/3D CAD.
• Knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow established drafting standards and procedures.
• Strong Windows and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
