Actalent is seeking a skilled Drafter to migrate existing engineering drawings into Autodesk Vault, edit drawings with Inventor, and organize documentation for a large migration project.

You will work with engineers to resolve questions, ensure accurate maintenance, and participate in daily team check-ins. The role begins onsite for training, with hybrid flexibility afterward in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to migrate existing engineering drawings and files into Autodesk Vault. The role involves opening, reviewing, and editing drawings using Autodesk Inventor, as well as updating and cleaning up existing engineering documentation. You will organize files and drawings as part of the migration process and work directly with engineers to resolve drawing or documentation questions. Daily check-ins with the engineering team are part of the routine to ensure drawings and associated documentation are accurately maintained throughout the project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) or product data management (PDM) systems is a plus.
• Exposure to manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order products is beneficial.
• Ability to understand engineering concepts, technical drawings, and product assemblies.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment.

Work Environment

The initial three weeks will be spent onsite for training, after which remote flexibility is available. You will work closely with a hands-on engineering team that will provide support throughout the project.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
