Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year technical degree with 1 year related experience, or High School Diploma with 3 years related experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, standards, and best practices.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in Power and Lighting Electrical Design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Flexibility to support changing DoD project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Design components or system elements and update existing designs to improve products or streamline manufacturing.
• Use CAD tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA.
• Gather technical information, conduct studies, perform calculations, and produce layouts and sketches.
• Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet project requirements.
• Interpret and analyze design specifications and project needs.
• Develop and maintain design documentation including drawings and reports.
• Participate in design reviews and development meetings, providing technical insight.
• Stay current on industry trends and new design technologies.
