Job summary

Imperial Conveying Solutions, LLC in Canton, OH is seeking a Drafter Detailer to join our team. The role focuses on creating shop detail drawings and BOMs for production, using CAD tools, and collaborating with project managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, can read blueprints, and has a two-year degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or AutoCAD. Working hours are 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday with a 1-hour lunch.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of bulk material conveying systems is a plus.
• Understand how parts are assembled and mechanically inclined.
• Strong organization and clean work practices.
• Read blueprints and use CAD tools effectively.
• Two-year degree in mechanical/civil engineering or AutoCAD preferred.
• Hours: 8am–5pm, M-F with 1-hour lunch.

Responsibilities

• Create shop detail drawings for production and manufacturing.
• Create BOMs for shop details.
• Check details produced by others for accuracy.
• Operate CAD software and ensure high accuracy.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers.
• Maintain timelines and produce error-free work.

Imperial Conveying Solutions, LLC is currently searching for a full-time Drafter Detailer! We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, loves to assist others and not afraid to tackle tough jobs.

With 45 years in the material handling business, Imperial Conveying Solutions provides custom solutions in conveying bulk material through our experience & expertise to the benefit of our clients.

General Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the bulk material conveying system is a plus.


• Understand how parts are assembled


• Mechanically inclined


• Organization is a must


• Maintain a clean work environment


• Work alongside our Project Managers


• Must be able to read blueprints


• Prefer a minimum of two-year degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, and/or AutoCAD


• Working hours are from 8am to 5pm, M-F with a 1-hour lunch


• Must Be Safety Minded and consider safety concerns in all designs, whether yours or not

Responsibilities:

• Create Shop Detail drawings and designs for production and manufacturing

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy


• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers

• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports


• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions


• Have or the ability to learn to use SolidWorks
