Job summary

A Head For Profits (AHFP) is looking for a Draft Service Technician to service draft beer equipment. The role is hands-on and mechanical, with ongoing training and tools provided to help you succeed.

You will deliver strong customer service, support route coverage, and maintain equipment. A company vehicle is provided, and relocation assistance is possible. The position offers a starting wage up to $22.00/hour with bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of draft beer systems (preferred but not required).
• Mechanically/technically inclined (preferred but not required).
• Be results-driven and self-motivated.
• Cicerone certification is required of all current AHFP employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist with route coverage when needed including AM accounts and venues.
• Carry out quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) contracts.
• Attend the necessary facilities to become Micro Matic certified if requested.
• Attend, as assigned, all other training deemed necessary by AHFP.
• Work with and provide training to other employees.
• Maintain effective and professional working relationships with assigned accounts, sales representatives, and draft tech department personnel.
• Effectively manage all equipment to include care and maintenance and inventory of assigned equipment and tools.
• Manage the draft service tech vehicle in accordance to all AHFP policy.
• Additional duties may include line cleaning and other non-billable services as dictated by the demands of the market.

Draft Service Technician (DST)

Position Description and Performance Requirements

Position of Draft Service Technician (DST) is a position whose role is to service draft beer equipment. Candidates for this position can expect it to be very hands-on and mechanically based - but we provide you will all the ongoing training, tools, and resources you need to be successful!

Strong customer service skills are expected in this position as employees communicate with customers directly regarding assigned installations, timelines, route coverage, etc.

Starting Salary

• Up to $22.00/hr

Monthly Revenue Bonus

• 2% of net sales revenue generated:
  • The Tech Tracker will be used to track revenue and determine commission amounts.
  • To qualify for bonuses, sales cannot be more than 10% off the book rate on the service price sheet or on the quote provided by the estimating dept unless approved by ownership.
  • For jobs sold with a supervisor or salesperson's assistance, the technician will be paid the bonus rate on 50% of the total ticket.
  • Work must be completed for bonuses to be paid (exception: prepaid service agreements).
  • For projects where the work is performed in stages, commissions will be paid once the project is 100% completed.
  • Monthly bonus request forms need to be turned in by the 10th of the following month and will be added to regular pay and will be paid on the next regular payroll period. Late bonus request forms will not be considered for payment unless other arrangements are made with management.

Working Hours

• Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Hours may vary and may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs

Education / Experience

• 3 years in related industries
• Strong experiences in draft beer industry preferred

Travel

• Travel may be required as a part of this position. Travel will encompass AHFP's regional footprint and is usually limited to weekdays.
