Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a Disaster Recovery Program Manager for the Department of State. The role focuses on developing, testing and maintaining the enterprise DR/COOP plan, supporting a hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure for government operations.

You will ensure essential IT services remain available for embassies and visa processing centers, while aligning DR activities with NIST SP 800-34, FISMA, and customer standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT/DR experience and related fields.
• Bachelor's in IT or related field required.
• CBCP or MBCI Certification(s) required or preferred.
• Secret Security Clearance is required.
• ITIL 4 Foundation and CompTIA Sec+ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain enterprise DR/COOP plan and operations for hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure.
• Ensure IT services remain operational and highly available to support embassies, consulates, passport and visa centers.
• Develop, manage and support enterprise DR program for resiliency and high availability, aligning with redundancy requirements.
• Ensure DR program complies with NIST SP 800-34, FISMA requirements and customer DR standards.
• As DR/Resiliency Engineer, lead redundancy, failover management, DR plan documentation and DR testing.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Disaster Recovery (DR) Program Manager is responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of the enterprise DR/COOP plan and operations supporting the hybrid VPC and global IT infrastructure for the customer.

Responsibilities:

• You will ensure customer IT services remain operational and highly available to support U.S. embassies, consulates, passport agencies and centers, and visa processing centers (i.e., domestic).
• To meet this mission, you will help develop, manage, and support a robust, enterprise-wide DR program for the enterprise IT network to ensure continuous improvement, resiliency, and high availability services, aligning with redundancy requirements.
• The DR program shall comply with NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-34 (Contingency Planning Guide for Federal Information Systems), FISMA requirements, and customer DR standards.
• As the DR/Resiliency Engineer, you will play key roles in redundancy and failover management, DR Plan documentation and system alignment, and DR testing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• CBCP or MBCI Certification(s)
• Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• ITIL 4 Foundation, Comp TIA Sec + Certification(s)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

The range listed is just one component of Empower AI's total compensation package for employees.
