Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer Technical Leader to design, develop, and optimize the data plane software powering Cisco Hypershield Smart Switches. You will write production-quality C/C++ on Linux, tackle complex networking problems, and guide architecture through technical mentorship.

You'll collaborate with hardware, software, and security teams across the full SDLC, from design to debugging and performance tuning, delivering scalable, secure networking solutions for the next generation

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience, or Master/PhD with corresponding experience.
10+ years of professional C/C++ development in Linux environments.
Experience with data plane software, networking protocols, and high-performance packet processing.

Mansioni

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance data plane software using C/C++ on Linux-based systems.
Develop networking software for DPUs/Smart Switch platforms enabling scalable packet processing and security capabilities.
Troubleshoot defects and performance issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Lead design discussions, participate in reviews, and mentor engineers across the org.
Deliver production-quality systems and contribute to architecture and execution across Cisco Hypershield.
