Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our faculty team. The role involves delivering innovative, career-focused education and developing high-quality curricula to cultivate skilled, mindful clinicians.

You'll be assigned courses based on expertise and program needs, with on-site lab immersions in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate holds a PT doctorate with CAPTE accreditation experience, a GA license or eligibility, and at least five years of post-licensure

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Active Physical Therapy license in Georgia or eligibility.
  • Teaching experience in a CAPTE-accredited DPT program.
  • Minimum of five years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
  • Understanding of higher education and leadership in PT education.
  • Ability to travel overnight to Atlanta for lab and student events.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technology skills.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and collaborative, inclusive teamwork.

Job Overview
  • Seeking applicants for a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy Faculty member.
  • Provide an innovative, career-focused education that develops highly skilled, mindful, and compassionate care providers.
  • Assigned courses are based on faculty expertise and program needs.
  • Must attend scheduled lab immersions in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Expertise in curriculum development and assessment, student coaching, development of success plans, or research in higher education is preferred.
Requirements
  • An academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, DSc, DHS, ScD) in Physical Therapy, or an academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc, DHS, ScD, DBA) in a related field
  • Active Physical Therapy license, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of Georgia
  • Prior experience teaching in a CAPTE accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program
  • A minimum of five years of full time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice
  • Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in physical therapy education
  • Able to travel overnight or for extended periods to Atlanta for lab and student events
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technology skills
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and working in an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in curriculum development and assessment, along with a strong foundation in physical therapy education and clinical practice. Possesses an active Physical Therapy license in Georgia and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
