Job summary

Domino Amjet is seeking a DP Installation Engineer to install Domino printers (K-Series) and accessories at customer sites in the United States. The role requires significant travel, on-site and remote fault finding, and hands-on support to ensure installations meet production needs.

You will liaise with customers, contractors, and internal teams to maintain schedules, provide technical guidance, and deliver post-install training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical schooling required with hands-on installation experience.
• Minimum five years in a field service/equipment installation role.
• Electromechanical, hydraulic or machinery background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and passport to work internationally required.

Responsibilities

• Install Domino printers and accessories at customer sites.
• Travel extensively and coordinate with customers and contractors.
• Diagnose and repair installation and equipment issues on site or remotely.
• Provide customer training on operation and maintenance of Domino systems.
• Maintain records, update project managers, and support sales as needed.
• Ensure on-time installations and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Title DP Installation Engineer

Compensation $80,000 - $90,000 (based on qualifications)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for installing Domino supplied printers and accessories at customer sites. Liaise with customers and third‑party contractors to support Domino equipment installation. Diagnose and resolve issues that arise as part of an installation or service call. Escalate issues when issue resolution support is needed. Ensure all installations are completed on time and that customers can effectively produce print with expected results.

Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Install Domino supplied printers (K-Series) and accessories at customer sites.
• Significant travel away from home will be required.
• Undertake on-site and remote fault finding and repair of Domino‑supplied equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system problems at customer sites.
• Carry out service to maximize uptime in line with customer production schedules and equipment specifications.
• Provide telephone technical support.
• Service electrical, mechanical and software‑based production equipment.
• Provide specific training and support for customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Gather data relating to the press performance technical issues.
• Maintain records of and follow Domino service procedures and technical bulletins.
• Provide technical (product) and health & safety training to customers on Domino‑supplied products.
• Liaise appropriately with site personnel who may include owners, managers, operators, maintenance staff, and contractors.
• Provide timely response to internal and external customers.
• Maintain complete and up‑to‑date work records and other administration tasks as required by the business.
• Work well with Sales and the internal organization.
• Provide constructive feedback both positive and negative on Domino group products and local channel engineered accessories.
• Initiate proactive action on behalf of the customer.
• Provide closed‑loop feedback on all escalated customer actions.
• Provide feedback and take an active role in solution implementation to improve the overall installation and customer training process.
• Provide daily installation updates to the project manager.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Communicate with the customer, other team members, and vendors specific engineering features/enhancements relevant to improving support and maintenance of the system.
• Perform all administrative work‑related tasks in a timely manner.
• Manage Domino parts inventory for accuracy and install base profile.
• Ensure work area is clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Lead on‑site activities, keep the site tasks on schedule, manage customer expectations, and understand project priorities and objectives.

Other Responsibilities

• Document customer training class attendees.
• Share installation best practices with other installation engineers, applications specialists, and technicians.

What You Need

Education & Experience

• Associate degree or at least two years of technical school required.
• At least five years of related experience required.
• Electromechanical experience or education required.
• Hydraulic and machinery experience or education required.
• Experience interacting with customers required.
• Label printing experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Current passport and ability to work internationally.

Physical Demands

• Heavy work. Heavy work involves exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, gross/fine manipulation, driving, kneeling, crawling, and climbing may be required. Physical demand requirements are more than those for medium work.
