Job description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The dozer operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways. Hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Typical Day For A(n) Dozer Operator May Include

• Operating a dozer within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and following company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Constructing haul roads, preparing drill benches, leveling shot material after blasting, and constructing drainage as needed
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as needed
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing mobile equipment, and ensuring good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You May Be a Good Fit If You

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants
• Have experience in operation and maintenance of a dozer (preferred)
