Job summary

Downtown Seattle Association (DSA) in Seattle, WA seeks a Policy Advisor to advance public policy, advocacy, and economic development priorities. The role conducts policy research, analyzes legislation, develops recommendations, and manages strategic partnerships to strengthen downtown Seattle.

Reporting to the Vice President of Advocacy & Economic Development, the position is full-time and onsite five days a week, with responsibilities spanning transportation, public safety, and urban policy

Qualifications

• Three (3) years working in public policy, government relations, nonprofit advocacy, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of DSA’s strategic plan by developing and advancing policy solutions for downtown Seattle.
• Conduct policy research, legislative and regulatory analysis, issue tracking, and data collection to inform advocacy.
• Develop and present policy recommendations, economic development initiatives, and incentive programs.
• Analyze transportation, public safety, and public realm data for officials and stakeholders to support policy.
